Removal of old/damaged shingles
On-Site Construction (OSC) crews will begin by backing up a dump trailer into your driveway and tarping off any areas where debris could be hidden. OSC does not order a 2,000 lb dumpster to sit in your driveway for multiple days, and then throw an additional 5,000 lbs. of shingles into it possibly causing damage to your driveway. We are not in the concrete business! The crew then begins to tear off the existing roof, throwing the majority of the shingles directly into the trailer to be hauled away as soon as the roof is completed. Everything is removed all the way down to your roof decking, including felt paper. Felt paper is a very important of the roofing process and should never be reused. The entire roof is inspected for any damaged wood and is replaced as needed.
