Flashings and Felt paper
Once all nails, staples and debris are removed from the roof OSC crews will make sure all flashing is installed properly. Drip edge is used on all eave and rake edges of the home to keep water from damaging your fascia boards. Begin to lay felt paper. Felt paper is layed on the roof horizontally with a 3” overlap to ensure the roof is water tight. NO STAPLES are used to install felt paper; 1 ¼ “ cap nails secure the felt paper to the decking much more securely without tearing while the crew is shingling the roof.
